Interwoven Echoes is a contemporary dance work in which movement mirrors the delicate threads that bind us to the natural world. From the swaying of the trees to the swelling and ebbing of the tide, bear witness to an exploration of nature's parallels to human relationships and complexities. People coming in and out of a central space, how people seem to weave seamlessly through one’s life and the ability to cope with these shifts of dynamics, adapting to different energies. The dancers create shapes that form, twist and stretch, showing the dancers attempting to communicate with each other and at times struggling to achieve this harmony. The live sound score features the voices of the dancers to create an intimate, interpersonal environment.

The performance took place on Sunday, March 3rd at 3pm at the Deering Estate Courtyard.

Choreographed by Nicole Pedraza, Deering Estate Artist-in-Residence

Dancers: Nicole Pedraza, Maria Burt, Jesus Sandoval, and Enrique Villacreses

Live sound score by Diego Melgar and Dani Ferreira-Amaro.
